Sawatdee-ka!

I took my uBox on vacation to Thailand -- as soon as I landed, my app realized I had changed timezones, so I updated my schedule and didn't miss a dose!

Future engineer, here!

Rosie's Girls is a group in Richmond, CA that encourages young girls to pursue traditionally male-dominated fields of study. Every year, at the end of the summer program, the organizers (Rosie the Riveter National Park) bring in a group of women in diverse fields to share their experiences with these teenagers. There are welders, doctors, electricians, rocket scientists, urban planners, construction workers, plumbers, police officers, and more. I get to talk about mechanical engineering and robotics!

This year, I brought in the uBox, and had the parts all on the table.  I had one put together to look at, but let the girls figure out how to put it together like a puzzle.

This girl got it right on the first try! With such spatial skills, she would make a great engineer.

QA department is the best-dressed department...

Other companies may also have handsome men in sweater vests leading their QA department, but none so handsome as ours!

A little twinkle in our life...

Courtesy of the uBox!

This is from a battery and charger test back in June, but it reminded me of Christmas...  Wishing everyone the happiest of holidays, warmth, love, and nourishment.  We couldn't do it without you!

Boring but important

It hasn't been very exciting around here lately... Just the critical drudge work involved in testing, weeding out bugs, prepping accounting systems, lining up shipping facilities and component supply chains, packaging, manuals, support systems, failsafes, and regulatory compliance. Whee!  We've been at it more than full time for most of the year, so maybe we'll take it easy over the holidays and enjoy time with the family.

We are so thankful for everyone who has supported us and continues to help us on our way.

Happy Thanksgiving from Abiogenix!

Parts, parts, and more parts!

Sara is back in Boston (and none too happy about it).  We got the reworked parts back from our prototype vendor, and so it is time to start the two-person assembly line!

Taking inventory of the new parts

A little rework here and there...

Lasering inscriptions
And reassembly according to the color combo wishes of our Indiegogo supporters!
